Lois Greene Faulconer

Lois Greene Faulconer, 87 of Charlottesville, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023.

Lois was born and raised in Bumpass, Va. to Arthur C. and Emma F. Greene and was one of twelve brothers and sisters. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Clark Elementary School in the City of Charlottesville for in excess of thirty years and truly loved each day that she worked there.

She was a long time and faithful member of First Christian Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for many of those years and attended regularly while she was able.

Lois was preceded in death by her mother and Father, Emma F., and Arthur C. Greene, her first Husband, Willie D. Carter and her second Husband, James T. “Tommy” Faulconer and a son, Henry Edward Carter. Siblings Joyce G. Dunivan, Arthur C. Greene, Jr., William M. Greene, John E. Greene, David T. Greene, Raymond Greene, Russell I. Greene, Mary Margaret Greene and Emily F. Greene.

Lois is survived by her son, Daniel Carter, Sister Carolyn G. Snelson and Doris G. Tuttle (Ed). She is also survived by her dear friend and caregiver, Dawn Nowell who lovingly took care of her for the last five years

A celebration of Lois’ life will be held at a later date.
