Lorraine Mae (Burgisser) Bohleke, 94, of Charlottesville Virginia, loving mother of five and wife to the late Richard E. Bohleke, passed peacefully with family at her side on October 26, 2023, in Charlottesville Virginia.
Lorraine was born on June 27, 1929, in Iselin, New Jersey, the daughter of Frank and Wilhelmina Burgisser and sister to Norman, Fred, and Catherine Burgisser. Lorraine was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring person, always giving of her time and talents.
She met her husband, Richard, in the 1940’s, and fell instantly in love. They shared a love for family, having their first child in 1952. As a mother and wife, Lorraine was generous, compassionate, and completely devoted to her family.
In 2023, Lorraine became a great grandmother for the fourth time. She was thrilled to be surrounded by so many loved ones.
In addition to raising her family, Lorraine took great pleasure in reading, penciling, tending to her flowers and caring for her many pets. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous acquaintances whose paths she’d crossed in her life’s journey.
