Louis Quarles Jr. departed this life suddenly on August 14, 2023,. He was born in Gordonsville, VA, on September 26, 1965,. He was the son of the late Louis Lorenzo Quarles Sr. and Joyce Quarles. Louis Quarles Jr., Aka (Dukie), was a dedicated father who was a very social person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Dukie enjoyed playing cards and watching his favorite team, the Washington Redskin. Louis worked for Newcomb Hall for 25-plus years.
He Is preceded in death by his mother (Joyce) Quarles, his father, Louis L Quarles sr., and his brother, Ronald Quarles. He is survived, by his spouse (Gwendolyn) Bell, three sons, Eric Bell of Charlottesville, VA, Abram Bell of Charlottesville, VA, and Kadeem Bell of Charlottesville, VA. Two daughters, Alicia Carter of Charlottesville, VA, and Deidre Carter of Charlottesville, VA, . In addition, two brothers (Walter) Holiday of Gordonsville, VA., Timothy Quarles of Gordonsville, VA., and five sisters and five sisters (Sharon)Quarles Hughes of Louisa, VA, Dorlisa Johnson of Charlottesville, VA., Cassandra Quarles of Louisa, VA, Brenda Quarles and Sherry Quarles Haney (Tony) of Gordonsville, Va., he leaves to cherish his memory of 9 Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
