Martha Ann Martin

Martha Ann (Molly) Martin passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024 in Auburn, Alabama. 

Molly was born May 31, 1938 in Waynesboro, Virginia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ada Martin, her brothers Winston Martin and Grady Martin and sister Rosalie Boyd. 

Molly graduated from Wilson High School in 1956 and following a short stay at Madison College returned home to serve 47 years for the City of Waynesboro. During those many years she was the executive assistant to numerous Waynesboro City Managers. Molly was truly loved by all of those that knew or worked with her. She was always there with a smile. Molly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. 

A loving aunt, Molly is survived by her nephews Keith (Ann) Martin of Auburn, Alabama, Jeff (Jean) Martin of Mineral, Virginia and Scott (Kimberly) Martin of Lawrenceville, Virginia. Grandniece Sara (Trey) Denney of Boulder, Colorado, grandnephews Jacob (Mikalah) Martin of Mineral, Virginia and Austin Martin of Lawrenceville, Virginia. Great grandniece Nora-Ann Denney of Boulder, Colorado. 

A public graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 14th 11 am at Springdale Mennonite Church Stuarts Draft, Virginia. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew or Springdale Mennonite Church.
