Mary Morris

Mary M. Morris, 85, of Greene County, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was born April 1, 1939, in Charlottesville, VA to George and Blanche Collier.

She retired after many years of service from Morton’s Food. She was preceded in death by her late husband, James Elwood Morris; her son, Buster Charles Shifflett; and her daughters, Sandy K. Morris, Diane Morris, and Sheila Shifflett.

She is survived by her children, Connie Verastegui, of Florida, Ed Shifflett of Greene County, Joanne Shifflett of Greene County, Virginia Shifflett of Staunton, Jesus M. Morris of Crozet and Tracy Dale Morris of Waynesboro; her partner, Prentice Pete Brown Morris, Jr., 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
