Michael Vernon Giannini

Michael Vernon Giannini, 64, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Charlottesville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Charlottesville, Va on June 8, 1960 to George Vernon Giannini and Mary Ellen Gardner Giannini, who both predeceased him, along with his older sister, Karen Elizabeth Giannini Dwier.He is survived by his sister, Joan Ellen Giannini-Harlow; nephew Michael Wayne Harlow; Uncle, Lewis Martin Gardner, all of Charlottesville; and a close cousin, Rosanna Louise Bencoach of Norfolk, Va.Michael was always a hard worker, in his early teens he built and opened a greenhouse and grew tomato plants for sale. He loved gardening and could build anything he set his mind to. He was a master plumber who took over our father's plumbing business; George V. Giannini & Son plumbing and heating. He later had to close the business due to his failing health. He was also a member of the Rivanna Baptist Church.The family will receive friends Sunday evening, September 8, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Teague Funeral Home 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Va. 22903; Monday, September 9, 2024 there will be a graveside service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Larry Wingfield presiding; Riverview Cemetery, 1701 Chesapeake St. Charlottesville, Va. 22902
