Nancy Pace Thomas January 20, 2025 Nancy Pace Thomas of Charlottesville, Virginia, entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, January 20, 2025, rejoicing in a heavenly reunion with her beloved husband, Dr. Edwin Alton Thomas, and two of her five children, Garrett Allen Thomas and Nancy Thomas Emch.
Her legacy lives on through her loving family, who cherish her spirit and eagerly anticipate reuniting with her in heaven’s eternal joy and peace. She is survived by three sons and their wives, William Scott Thomas (Carol), Stephen Randolph Thomas (Karen), and Edwin Alton Thomas, II (Debbi), along with her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Thomas. Nancy was also richly blessed with 28 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, each a testament to her enduring love and faith.
Her 92 years were a testament to a life well-lived filled with praising God, offering comfort through prayer, and spreading laughter and joy. To know Nancy was to encounter a devoted servant of God, a true prayer warrior, and someone whose faith radiated through every facet of her life. A testament to her faithfulness, Nancy was the President of the local Charlottesville Chapter of Aglow for many years using her wisdom to
promote the Aglow vision (To propel the Kingdom forward through the elevation of the knowledge of God, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Nations.) Nancy’s humor, wit, wisdom, beauty, and boundless kindness left a lasting impression on all who met her. Her delicious meals, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering faith brought warmth and light to her family and friends. Nancy’s legacy of loving Jesus Christ with all her heart and soul, faith, and laughter will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered as she dances in the presence of her Savior.
A memorial service to honor Nancy Pace Thomas will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Gordonsville Chapel Church, located at 314 N Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942.
