Paul Elton Wright, 87, of Constitution Hwy, Unionville, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Little Yatton Senior Living in Orange. Paul was born on July 8, 1936, in King William County, Virginia, and was the son of the late John David Wright and Julia Ollie Reece Wright. He is also predeceased by his wife Christinia “Chris” Burton Wright; four brothers William, Harvey, John, and Lewis Wright; and two sisters Dorothy “Dot” Martin and Mary Anne Wallace.Paul is survived by two daughters Laurie Herndon and husband Steve of Orange, and Wendelyn Stack and husband Bob of Spotsylvania; four grandchildren Christopher Herndon and wife Beth, Patrick Herndon and wife Brittany, Jessica Fleming-Daniels and Will, and Jordan Stack; five great- grandchildren Connor Herndon, Alex Herndon, Sam Herndon, Madison Herndon, and Nolan Fleming-Daniels; and two Sisters-In-Law Sibyl Johnson of Orange, and Bonnie Emerson of Gloucester.Paul served in the Air Force Reserves, retired from National Cash Register, Inc., served as an Elder in the Unionville Christian Church, and was active in the East Orange Ruritan Club. Paul treasured his family and church above all. Beyond that, after a hard day of work Paul could not wait to tend to his garden or head to his wood shop. A self-taught craftsman, Paul’s love for woodworking can be seen in the home he built at Briarwood. Additionally, his expert craftsmanship is seen in the many pieces of furniture and woodworks that he provided for his children and grandchildren alike. Paul could make and fix anything.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Unionville Christian Church with interment to be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service. Minister Michael Jackson will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Love Outreach Food Pantry, P. O.
