Peggy Sue Bartley Fitch

Peggy Sue Bartley Fitch, 89, of Orange died on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on July 14, 1934 in Orange County and was the daughter of the late Horace Bartley and Emma Frances Hazard Bartley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Ordway “Billy” Fitch.

She is survived by a daughter Kathleen Sue Morris and Mark of Madison; three sons Charles Timothy “Tim” and Mary Fitch of New Bern, NC, William Perry Fitch, and James O. “Jimmy” and Amy Fitch of Orange; seven grandchildren Andy Fitch and Carter, Scotty Fitch and Jamie, David Fitch, Nick Morris, Mackenzie Morris, Emily Fitch, and William Fitch; six great grandchildren Macon Fitch, Sam Fitch, Henry Fitch, Sophie Fitch, Morgan Fitch, and Madison Fitch.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Orange Presbyterian Church, Rev Denny Burnette and Lynne Clements will officiate. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the social hall of the Orange Presbyterian Church. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
