Preston Lawrence Hawkins Sr.                     December 30, 2024 Preston Lawrence Hawkins Sr., 71, of McDaniel Street, Culpeper, died on Monday, December 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born on November 5, 1953 in Culpeper and was the son of the late Maury Charles Hawkins and Lucy R Jenkins Hawkins. He was also predeceased by brother-in-law William Cole; a sister Margaret Cole; and a nephew Timothy Lance Cole.
He is survived by three daughters April Chipps and husband Chris of Richardsville, Mauri Pierce and husband Raymond Sr. of Unionville, and Britney Ryan of Collinsville; a son Preston Lawrence Hawkins Jr. and wife Iva of Orange; a sister Lucille Hoffman and husband George of Culpeper; grandchildren Thirteen; his fiancée Lula Morgan; her children Brenda Mills and husband Albert, Amanda Lamb and husband Haywood, Fannie Hurt, and Lisa Morgan; grandchildren Thirteen.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 12 Noon at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with interment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 before the funeral service. Pastor Dwane Pugh will officiate. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
