Raymond Patrick Fassano

Raymond “Ray” Patrick Fassano, 89, of Charlottesville passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2024 at the Center for Acute Hospice Care with his beloved wife by his side.

Ray native to Brooklyn, New York was born on March 1, 1935 to the late Patrick and Mary (Rega) Fassano.

Ray worked as an Office Manager at George Sharp in New York City and served in the US Army. Ray was a parishioner at OLPH in Lindenhurst, NY and St. Thomas Aquinas in Charlottesville, VA.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Burke; his brothers Joseph Fassano and Michael Fassano.

Ray leaves behind his loving wife, Rachael (Martucci) Fassano; his daughter, Anna Marie MacDonald; his grandchildren Lauren and Christopher MacDonald; and his son-in-law Adrian MacDonald.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville VA 22903. A funeral mass to include military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 401 Alderman Road Charlottesville, VA 22903 with a reception to follow at the church. Ray’s ashes will be laid to rest in the St. Thomas Aquinas Columbarium with his daughter, Christine.
