Ricardo "Ric" Rositti Dameron
Ricardo “Ric” R. Dameron, 72, of Fishersville went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 17, 2024 at his home.
He was born March 30, 1951 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Bill and Aileen Dameron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jean Benson Dameron, and a son, Ethan Dameron.
Ric was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Verona and previously a longtime member of 2nd Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. He served his country in the United States Navy for 6 years. Ric worked as a surveyor many years with John McNair & Associates and Mathers Construction; in later years he served as a supervisor at DuPont. He was an avid sports fan with a lifelong passion for UVA – GO WAHOOS!
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris McAllister Dameron; 2 sons: Daniel (Heather Westemeyer) Horne of Maine, Matthew (Kelly) Dameron of Waynesboro; brother Tim (Susan) Dameron of Stuarts Draft; sister Sonia Dameron of Fishersville; grandchildren: Mark, Julia, Riley Dameron of Waynesboro. In addition he will be deeply missed by his step-children: Jeremy (Catherine) McNeal, Jason McNeal, Jared (Jennie) McNeal, Jennifer (Jeff) Noble; 13 step-grandchildren; the entire extended McAllister family and the Game Night Crew.
A service will be held at 12:00pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Verona by Rev. Bill Davis. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm Thursday, February 22, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
