Richard Allen Hawkins

June 3, 1945 - November 5, 2023

Richard Allen Hawkins slipped peacefully into Eternal rest in his home on Sunday November 5th, 2023.

He was born to the late Mary Hawkins Bowman and Leonard Banks of Charlottesville Virginia on June 3rd, 1945. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Mable Hawkins of Charlottesville Virginia, his five children Jacqueline D. Feggans of Charlottesville Virginia, Lisa Hawkins Cook of Charlottesville Virginia and Angelic Hawkins Jenkins of Richmond Virginia, Richard Timberlake of Charlottesville Virginia and Antonio Timberlake of Crozet Virginia, his four siblings Florence Thoms and her husband Lorenzo, Mary Johnson both of Charlottesville, Virginia, two brothers Charlie Hawkins and his wife of Kissimmee Florida and brother John Bowman of Charlottesville.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Bowman and Eddie Hawkins. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his grandchildren, William Yates III of Waynesboro, Virginia, Angel Yates of Charlottesville,Virginia and Charles A Howard, Jr or Charlottesville Virginia. Erin Flowers and her husband Jabril Flowers, Naundi Cook of Charlottesville, Virginia, Richard Timberlake Jr, Carrie Smith, Brittany Hopkins, Terrence Smith and Noah Ivery, Anthony Timberlake and Trayvon Timberlake, all of Charlottesville Virginia.

18 great grandchildren, and he leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and cousins that he loved dearly. He also leaves behind his outside family Rosha Sylvester, Dejour Robertson, and Andre Joyner all of New York. Richard was employed at, Fedcap Rehabilitation Center, for 25 years, as a Director where he eventually retired.

The Viewing will be on Thursday November 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for family and friends at Mcclenny Funeral home in Charlottesville Va. The funeral service will be on Friday November 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Church of God, 1025 Rio Road East, Charlottesville, Virginia. Pastor Stanley Woodfolk will perform the eulogy.
