Robert Grant Faulconer
Robert Grant Faulconer went to be with his Lord June 27, 2024. He was born September 18, 1936, in Madison, Virginia, to William Hamilton Faulconer and Violet Lane Watson Faulconer.
Bobby, better known as Papa, was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Trustee for many years. He served in the United States Army as Military Police from 1959-1965. He married his loving and devoted wife, Jackie, and later had three daughters who he adored. While he retired in 1995, he never really stopped working. When he wasn’t giving his time and energy doing for his family and others in the community, he was on the bank of a pond fishing, working on countless home improvement projects, watching sporting events, or spending time with his grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William Hamilton Sr. and Violet Lane Watson, his brothers; William Hamilton Jr, Grover Harold, Charles Edward; his sister, Barbara “Cookie” Gibson; and one sister-in-law, Ethel Faulconer.
Robert is survived by his wife; Jacqueline Ornduff; his daughters, Renee Lamb, husband Troy of Louisa, Jill Quillen, husband Mike of Roanoke, Amy Lamb of Barboursville; his sisters-in-law; Anne Meade of Orange, Dorothy Faulconer of Culpeper; brother-in-law, C. Bernard Gibson of Gordonsville; his grandchildren, Dana Ferguson, Sarah Lamb (Taylor McCreight), Bekah Givens (Andrew), Leah Georges (Cole), Hannah Quillen, Daniel Quillen (Camille), and Matthew Quillen; and his great-grandchildren, Emma Givens, Collins McCreight, and one on the way.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, at Mechanicsville Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
