Robert Lee Racer

Robert Lee Racer Sr., 89, of Mt. Track Road, Orange went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Orange. He was born on August 6, 1934 in Locust Dale and was the son of the late Jack Racer and Nellie Lohr Racer. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Frances B. Racer of Orange; a son Robert “Rob” L. Racer Jr. and wife Stephanie of Rapidan; three grandchildren Justin R. Racer, Jessica Southard, and Sydney Guckert; two great grandchildren Lacie Southard, and Olivia Southard; two sisters Jane Anderson of Madison and Peggy Lloyd of Orange; and a brother George D. Racer of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 12:30 Noon at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with Rev. Kris Cook officiating. Interment will be held at the Culpeper National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with military honors. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Preddy Funeral Home before the funeral. In place of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to The Calvary Baptist Church, 19076 Monrovia, Road, Orange, Va. 22960.
