Ruth Ann Webberking
Ruth Ann (Graham) Webberking, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Anthology of Charlottesville where she resided for the last 18 months in the Memory Care Unit with her husband, Gilbert.
Ruth Ann was born on December 2, 1940 to William B and Ruth E (Blake) Graham in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Along with her sisters, Becki and Mona, she grew up in Irwin, PA. She graduated from Irwin High School and then attended night school taking business classes.
Ruth Ann married the love of her life Gilbert James Webberking on January 27, 1962. Married for almost 62 years, Ruth Ann and Gilbert created a beautiful and loving life together. They had 2 children, Eric and Kristin, which they raised in Irwin, Pennsylvania, Newark, Delaware and then North East, Maryland.
Ruth Ann worked as a secretary for 20 years with the New Castle County School District in Delaware, before retiring to Williamsburg, Virginia. She enjoyed baking, gourmet cooking, wine, traveling, sewing, and decorating her home. But Ruth Ann’s “life work” was truly focused on creating a beautiful and loving home and life for her family, husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Ruth Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Gilbert J Webberking of Charlottesville, Va; their son Eric J Webberking (Annette) of Fallston, MD; and daughter Kristin A Chambers (John) of Palmyra, VA: grandchildren Jennifer Webberking: Adam Webberking( Carrie); Lesley Milligan (Andrew); Shannon Chase (Cory); and Michael Chambers (Katherine); and great grandchildren Madison, Riley, Caleb, and Adalyn.
She is also survived by her sisters Rebecca Graham (Jim Forbis) and Mona Yep (Richard); and her Brother-in Laws Carl Webberking; and Ronald Webberking (Marilyn); and nephews Brian Webberking, Kevin Webberking, and Dylan Yep.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers that provided her love, care, and support.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10:30am – 11:00am at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22903. A Celebration of Ruth Ann’s Life will follow at 11:00am in the Chapel.
