Sally G. Roberts

Sally G. Roberts, 82, passed away on January 19, 2024 at her home in Village of Golf, Boynton Beach, Florida. She also currently resided in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born in December, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to Amelia and William Gordon and was predeceased by them and her sister, Mimi.

Sally attended Calvert School, Garrison Forest and Goucher College before moving to New York City where she worked for Time Life. She was married to husband Alan Y. Roberts for 56 years and he survives her. They operated an antique importing business in Westchester County, N.Y. for over 25 years before retiring to Charlottesville. Sally was an avid tennis player and golfer and she especially loved her German Shepherds. She and Alan traveled all over the world and visited nearly 100 countries, many by cruise ship. She was a member of Ocean Club of Florida, Gulfstream Little Club, Country Club of Florida and Farmington Country Club in Virginia.

Special thanks go to those who helped so much during her battle with cancer: Sentara M.J. Hospital, Hospice of the Piedmont and Trustbridge Hospice in Florida. Her caregivers were truly treasured.

A private graveside service was held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church Greenwood, Virginia.
