Shirley Morris Fortune

Shirley Morris Fortune, 64, passed away on December 28, 2023, in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born on June 18, 1959.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, James Fortune, her mother Mavis Morris, her brother JR., her son Robert Morris, daughter Christy Calloway, daughter Crystal Morris and her son Jeffrey Morris; and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, William (Bill) Morris, and her brother, Junior, and her aunt Genevieve.

Shirley was known for her warm and caring personality. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend to many. Shirley had a passion for embroidering tea towels and growing pumpkins. She found joy in creating beautiful handcrafted pieces and enjoyed going to yard sales.

Family Night will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 3", at Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Virginia. A graveside service will take place at 12pm on Thursday, December 4, at Free Union Church of the Brethren in Free Union, Virginia.

Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Virginia, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
