Skylar Logan Hawke

Skylar Logan Hawke, 29, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday April 3, 2022.

Miss Hawke was born on October 4, 1992 in Waynesboro, and was a daughter of Robert Daniel Hawke and Donna Marie Hawke, who survive.

Skylar was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She attended Old Dominion University and worked as an in-home healthcare provider. She had a love for animals and leaves behind her two cats.

In addition to her parents, Skylar is survived by a son, Conner Edward Hawke; a sister, Rachel Marie Hawke; a brother, Trevor Alexander Hawke; Aunts Eileen Niksa and Martha Ann Hawke; a cousin, Stephen Edward Niksa; niece Rayanne Elizabeth Thurston; nephews Brandon Lawrence Skillman, Devin Lee Thurston, Zachary Wesley Thurston; a great niece Aubriella Noelle Skillman.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Eleanor Hawke. Father of her child Blake Groah.

A visitation will be held June 6, 2024 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro, VA. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7th @ 1pm at St John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesboro, VA with Father Francis officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro, VA. Pallbearers will be Trevor Hawke, Scott Via, Chris Richards, Jose Rodriguez, Greg Phillips, Bill Trice, Tony Tabor, and Robert (Bronson) Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the FOXG1 Foundation for a Cure in honor of her son at foxg1research.org
