Terry Lee Fitz

Terry Lee Fitz, 70, of Troy, VA, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Terry was preceded in death by his father Robert Fitz, two brothers Bobby Ray Fitz, and Douglas Alan Fitz, one sister Patricia “Tinkerbell” Call, and grandparents Elvin and Georgia Collier.

Terry is survived by his mother Goldie Ann Fitz, his loving wife of 51 years Neanne Marie Fitz, four sons Hillory Lee Edward Fitz (Theresa), Ryan Terry Fitz (Nancy), Phillip Robin Fitz (Chelsea), Paul Robert Fitz (Priscilla), ten grandchildren Brittany, Katilyn, Hillory Jr., Adam, Waylon, Cassie Ann, Dylan, Kaiden, Hunter, Gunner, four great grandchildren, three siblings Jimmy Fitz (Becky), Timmy Fitz (Becky), and Pam Weeks.

Terry worked for Charlottesville Gas Department for 20 years where he made several life long friends, and was known by his nickname Hawkeye.

Terry was a very dedicated family man and was instrumental in raising his four sons to be good men, husbands, and fathers. Terry loved family get togethers, laughing, joking, fishing, camping, Dallas Cowboys, UVA sports, playing guitar, and his dog and furry little friend Scarlett. It was very rare to find him without a smile to greet you, and even more rare to find him without one of his cherished guitars within arms reach. Terry was an amazing man and those of us who were privileged to know him are richer for having to know him. This world is a truly lesser place without him in it, but he is now in heaven with family and friends, and is most certainly picking some tunes for the angels.

A visitation for Terry will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Teague Funeral Service. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 12:30 PM. An interment will occur Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Holly Memorial Garden.
