Thomas Edward Goodman

Thomas Edward Goodman, 94, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on October 19, 2023, at The Blake Senior Living.

Born July 31, 1929, in Scottsville, Virginia, he was the son of Thomas M. Goodman and Alice Devine.

Thomas (Tom or Tommy to most) is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Goodman; his daughters, Toni McNaughton (spouse James) and Kim Goodman; and his two grandchildren, Katherine Rose (spouse John) and Margaret Coulter (spouse Ben). He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Claire Rose and Jane Coulter.

Tom was loved by many, not just family and friends but also by all the cats and dogs in his neighborhood! He proudly volunteered to serve in the United States Marine Corp when he was 18 years old. He went to fight in the Korean War, was wounded, and received a Purple Heart after he served his military time. He loved serving his country and had a strong sense of duty. He was a true patriot!

Tom’s memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, at Monticello Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to:
