Thomas Howard Shiflett, Jr.

Thomas Howard “Bones” Shiflett Jr., 63, of Crozet, VA, passed away Thursday August 3, 2023, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA., surrounded by his family.
Thomas was born September 10, 1959 to the late Thomas Howard Shiflett Sr. and Patricia Taylor Shiflett, and is preceded in death by his parents, a special stepmother Theresa Shiflett, his paternal grandparents Robert and Mable Shiflett, one son Charles Shiflett, two sisters Pamela Johnson (Rusty), Michelle Bush, and a special mother-in-law Geneva Batten.

Thomas is survived by his “Ole Lady” Janice Shifflett “Boo”, daughter Tiffany Shifflett, son Brandon Shiflett, two sisters Darla Rich, Theresa Miller (Jeff), brother John Kevin Bush, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Thomas loved his Guitar and loved to play music, he worked in the masonry business for many years, loved to mow grass and weed eat, cutting wood was one of his favorites you could always find him near the wood pile, also loved to travel the back roads in Brown’s Cove and go up the “hollow”.

The love of his life was his grandkids they were his world, he never met a stranger and if you ever met him you would have a trusted and true friend for life.

There will be a memorial service for Thomas “Bones” on Saturday August 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA 22903.
