William (Billy) Delmar Marshall
William “Billy” Marshall, Jr. of 82 Pheasant Run Lane, Waynesboro passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 84.
He was the son of the late Ida Reecy Crawford Marshall and William Delmar Marshall, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ayres Marshall, a son, David Jerome Marshall and a granddaughter, Lindsay Kirby.
He was employed as a Body and Fender Technician at Baugher Chevrolet until his retirement.
Anyone that knew Billy knew of his love of cars and racing. He enjoyed sharing his passion in racing by being there to encourage his sons in their dirt bike and motorcross racing adventures. He was an avid Nascar fan and always enjoyed going to races when his health allowed it. His love and passion for stock car racing lead him to many Saturday nights at Eastside Speedway.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, William “Danny” Marshall and wife, Kathy, Dana Kirby and her husband, Dale, and Darrell Marshall, his side kick and partner in crime. Grandchildren include, Bryan Romaine, Erin Danielle Yancey (Brett), Corey Marshall (Shannon), Lacey Marshall and Lauren Kirby. He also leaves behind great grandchildren, Allie, Elly, Zach, Abel, and Millie. Also a dear brother, Ted “Buck” Crawford and wife Helene. He also leave behind a dear friend, Jimmy Childress.
Funeral services will be held at 11.00 A.M Friday, January 10, 2025 in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Earl Monroe, Visitation will be 1 hour before service. Private graveside services will be held at a later date for family due to weather conditions. Friends may call other times at the home of Danny Marshall, 88 Abner Lane, Waynesboro.
