Willie Louis Christmas

Willie Louis Christmas Jr., 75, of Louisa, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in the Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital.  He was born April 20, 1948 in Louisa to the late Willie Louis Christmas Sr. and Rosa Elizabeth Bishop Christmas.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annette Jean Washington Christmas; sister, Vernell M. Ayers; and a brother, Melvin C. Christmas.

Willie was retired from Lucent Technologies, had been a self-employed electrician for LCS Electrical Communications, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by daughters, Donielle Suzette Messner and Jennifer Lynn Christmas (Maurice) all of Louisa; sons, Jamie Alexander Christmas (Sherel) of Greensboro, NC and adopted son, Darnell Rollins of Louisa; brothers, Charles L. Christmas (Regina) of Fluvanna and Thomas E. Christmas of Louisa; sisters, Joan L. Christmas of Louisa, Rose G. Christmas of Brandywine, MD, Stephanie Theresa Whiting(Garrett) of Charlottesville, Cassandra E. Christmas of Louisa; grandchildren, Shalonte A. Christmas, Marquia A. Christmas, Jamika A. Christmas-Thomas (Tory), Max Messner (Alexander), Jamie A. Christmas II and Christian A. Christmas; great-grandchildren, Kyree A. Christmas, Aa’Meria R. Christmas, Amari’e L. Gardner and Aiden L. Gardner; in-laws, Kathleen Johnson, Roger Washington (Karen), James Washington (Dianne), Thomas Washington (Bertha), Cassandra Washington Thomas (Anson); and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, with interment in the Washington Family Cemetery, Troy, VA, conducted by Apostle James Ragland. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
