Eric Spain

Eric Spain, age 54, left this earth peacefully on July 7, 2023 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his loving parents, Sid and Terry Spain of Barboursville, Virginia.

Eric worked for many years in the restaurant business but most recently was self-employed in his own painting and home improvement business, Eric's Painting Services. He was a perfectionist in everything he did and was always ready to learn something new. Eric loved the beach, traveling to new places and striking up conversations with people along the way. After an accident five years ago, his physical abilities and stamina started to diminish, but he kept his good nature, had a unique sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone and give whatever he had to a person in need. Eric was grateful every day for the blessing of Life. He loved God's creation and tried to understand everything. He was always inquisitive and observed life with a unique perspective.

He is also survived by his brother, Patrick Spain of Adkins, Texas; stepsister, Shiloh Whitehead of Charlottesville, Virginia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Eric would want to be remembered for his smile, inner joy and the peace he leaves to others knowing he is in the loving arms of Jesus. His battles on Earth are over and the Victory is his.
