George W. Walker

George W. Walker, 81, of Gordonsville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at his home. He was born November 19, 1942 in Fredericksburg, VA, and was the son of the late Carl Edward Walker and Opal Elizabeth Bays Walker. He was also preceded in death by a brother Lindale Walker; sister Karen Walker Blankenship; and brother-in-law Billy Blankenship.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kay Brown Walker; daughters, Terena Hale and husband Mark of Vinton, VA, and Kelly Smith of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Haley Smith and husband Sean Maunz of Richmond, Christopher Walker Smith of Goldsboro, NC, Macon, Matthew and Nicholas Hale all of Vinton; and sister-in-law, Betty Walker of Woodstock. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
